Trigonos, in North West Wales, is set in the beautiful mountains landscape of Snowdonia.
It is the perfect place to relax, replenish and revive on the five-day Qigong & Meditation Winter Retreat: Sunday 21st – Friday 26th February.
February is a powerful time for deep reflection and moving forward with renewed wisdom, and the perfect time to focus on cultivating our own inner strength. This is when the days are visibly lengthening and nature sends its roots down into the nourishing earth preparing for the burst of spring growth that heralds the season’s change.
Winter is when we store our energy and enhance our circulation as we embrace the transformations occurring all around us. In nature, this is a time of death and rebirth, and we can harness our internal energy to enhance our health and cultivate new beginnings
Sue will lead you through the healing yet gentle movements of Chinese Medical Qigong and guide you into the stillness of peaceful mind and loving kindness meditations. The spacious beauty of Trigonos will soon become a sanctuary for you and it will be a refuge of peace, kindness and calm in your awareness when you return to every-day living.
During the retreat Acupuncturist Nicky Douglas will help us understand the pathways of energy, or meridians, that weave through the body, and influence our mental, physical and emotional health.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced practitioner, the retreat explores the flowing magic of Qigong along with mind-calming meditations. Surrounded by the beauty of Eryri National Park, you’ll have the chance to unwind, transform stress into vitality and connect with like-minded individuals while enjoying the beauty of the peaceful setting.

Biodynamic land
Trigonos cares about how they grow and what is produced. It more than about taste, it is also about being good for our bodies and the planet. Trigonos grows their own vegetables, which travel straight from the land to the kitchen for the chefs to create delicious vegetarian food, using biodynamic methods.
The venue is proudly Demeter accredited. Demeter is the accreditation body that grants certification to compliant Biodynamic farms.
Biodynamic farming is a holistic, ecological and ethical approach to farming that dates back to 1924 and evolved ever since. Going beyond the organic standard, through holistic management practices biodynamic farming focuses on reinforcing the interaction between soil, plants, animals, and humans in an environmentally friendly and regenerative way. In this way, the farm becomes a unique living organism in which each part nurtures the other: humans, plants, animals, and soil strive together.
